Case Study: Evolve’s lab work in Ghana
In 2020, Evolve built a new state-of-the-art pharmaceutical laboratory in Ghana to serve West Africa.
The facility, located near the Ghanaian capital, Accra, will help produce medicines to help to improve hundreds of thousands of lives across the region.
Evolve deployed its advanced capabilities in laboratory design, equipment and training to ensure that the new Ghanaian laboratory was the first in West Africa to work to EU equivalent regulatory standards.
Evolve founder Christopher Busuttil Delbridge said: ‘Ghana was a natural choice for us since the country is going through a rapid development process that we recognise from our own experience in Malta.
‘We wanted to do in Ghana what we did in Malta 15 years ago – create organic capacity to match the best in the world. Ghana is going through an industrialisation process that aims to end its reliance on inferior imported products and become instead an exporter with competitive quality and capacity levels.’
