At Evolve, we understand the importance of science in the lives of generations to come.

We believe that the way forward is to continuously challenge and inspire students to think outside the box.

To do this, we know you need educational laboratories that can stimulate and excite by offering a new approach to scientific learning.

Evolve has installed a number of educational science labs in recent years, including a state-of-the-art suite at the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology, new labs at the Department of Chemistry at the University of Malta and a fully-fitted science classroom at St Francis School in Sliema in Malta.

We’ve compiled a list of five things that we pay special attention to when designing your school’s laboratory:

1. Purpose

Traditionally, a different lab had to be used for every subject. We want to change that. Our new multipurpose laboratory concept allows you to change the room to suite your needs, for any subject. This allows all subjects to be taught, regardless of space. We believe this is key to keep up with such a continuously changing field.

2. Surfaces

The foundation of any experiment is the worksurface. For this, we take great care to select the right surface material that can be wiped down and ready to be used time and time again.

3. Comfort and ergonomics

Gone are the days of students balancing on stools. All our chairs and desks are ergonomically designed to make sure everyone can focus on learning rather than getting comfortable. Adjustable lighting is also important here.

4. Services

Laboratories use an array of services being power, multimedia connections, compressed air, gases and lighting. We can provide innovative modular solutions that offer maximum flexibility and will be in the way only when required.

5. Health and Safety

A clean and lean laboratory requires well thought storage spaces. Cabinets however do not have to be boring. With this in mind we can provide a variety of colours and cabinet dimensions to make sure the storage is safe, organized and practical.
