The group travelled to Leica Microsystems in Milan to learn more about their optimized software and unique 2-in-1 solution for visual and chemical analysis.
Evolve Business Account Manager Zachary Muscat said: ‘The Leica system is a microscope with dedicated software for particle counting and analysis. It will be used by ST to determine the cleanliness of their products and ensure they do not have any metallic particles that could linger on their microchips and cause short circuits.
‘Giancarlo was our host from Leica and with me were two engineers from STMicroelectronics, Ivan and Matthew.
‘By adopting this systerm it will help them to increase the efficiency of our cleanliness analysis and significantly improve the quality and reliability of their products.’
