What do you value about working at Evolve?
Personally, the most value I’ve gotten is from all the great people I’ve met over the years, both customers and colleagues. Helping customers in the scientific and medical communities is core to what we do. It’s so rewarding to see the difference we can make, especially when helping them solve a problem. Evolve is also great at supporting its staff through our careers. It’s easy to take all the great things the company does for its people for granted. How we rallied around as a team to cope with the recent Covid-19 pandemic has really reinforced my belief that this is great place to work.
What would you regard as your greatest achievement to date?
Above everything else in my professional life, my greatest achievement – and one which will never change – is having a healthy, happy family who I am hugely proud of. My desire to succeed is driven to ensure that they can have as good a life as possible.
In three words or less, how do you define success?
Content, comfortable, happy.
How do you motivate yourself?
By reminding myself every day that the work we do at Evolve matters immensely to dozens of businesses and the people working for them. By putting science and technology to work, we are empowering organisations and helping them thrive in a post-pandemic world.
What’s your motto?
You’re only as good as the team around you. Teamwork is one of our central values at Evolve. We would have nothing without our fantastic team.
As a child what did you dream you’d be when you grew up?
First of all I wanted to be a doctor or a surgeon.
Where’s your favourite place in the world and why?
It has to be home. It’s the best place to be with my family.
How do you relax?
I spend as much time as I can relaxing with family and friends.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
The best advice I have been given is to never worry about anything that is outside of your control as if you can’t change something with direct interaction then being weighed down by worry about it is truly pointless.
